It is a numbers matching Special Equipment car, supplied in April 1954 by Jaguar distributors Hornburg to JC Grant of Hollywood, California.
By the early 2000s the 120 was owned by Richard Horowitz of Encinitas, California who owned the car for at least 15 years.
In August 2015 it was bought by Guy Cribb, British and world windsurf champion.
The 120 was purchased by Retro Classics in 2017 and in mid-2018 subject to a substantial mechanical and body refurbishment.
Being a car that has lived in California, all the metal work was in excellent condition throughout.
