Retro Classics is not a traditional classic car retailer. Instead we offer what may be best described as a ‘Gently Rotating Personal Collection’! The cars are registered in our own name and used on the road frequently (in decent weather!) As a result, we get to know the cars quite well individually, and they often tend to be better sorted than those that just sit in a showroom for months.
Cars that are listed below may be awaiting final preparation, or upgrade and sometimes they may already be sold and we are tailoring them for the needs of the new owner. We may often have cars available either now or shortly that have not yet appeared on this site.

1961 Chevrolet Corvette C1
This 1961 manual Chevrolet Corvette was owned by the same lady from new in January 1961 right up until 2007, and we have all the paperwork relating to her (and subsequent!) ownership in one very large file. She lived close to San Francisco, and we also still have the original California ‘Black Plates’ for this car. This wonderful cherished and original car has since had a light refurbish to keep it in tip top condition, and it drives very well indeed. It has both removable hard, and concealed soft tops, and it looks superb whether open or closed.
The meaty manual four speed shifter has a very positive action and the car feels fast, secure, and solid on the road. It also sounds more like a motor boat than a car, of course! It also has been fitted with aircon, and the whole car has just been serviced, MOT’d and throroughly gone through by our mechanic. It is in exceptional condition in all This car represents the optimism and love of the futuristic so much part of America in the early ‘jet age’ and is, of course, an exceedingly rare sight on UK roads.
